Quick and Easy Summer Time Messy Bun

Slowly but surely the weather is slowly warming up here in New Zealand and its time to get your hair off that gorgeous face of yours, Messy buns are super cute and effortless to create, texture is the key for a perfect messy bun so texture your lovely locks with some dry shampoo.

Gather all your hair up and twist it until it makes a doughnut shape, remember that it doesn't have to be tidy, messy is the key for this look.

Fasten your hair in place with a hair tie around the outer edge, secure your hair with bobby pins and pull out a few wispy pieces of hair for that undone look. Add some hair spary to hold in place through out the day and you are good to go.

This is a quick and easy go to hairdo and is perfect for every day.

Re-Discovered Product: Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser

The other day I was rummaging through my small collection of skin care and I came across this guy, I used to use this all the time, but stopped as I found something much better that works for me. Now I am not saying that this product isn't good, because it is. I just completely forgot about it and decided to use it again.

The formula of it is a clear, thick consistency that turns into a foam when it is wet. When I use it on my face I love the way it feels, as the cleanser is a ice cleanser it tingles my face like a cooling tingly feeling that I really like. The cleanser has Salicylic-Acid in it and is oil free, that's a great thing for anyone struggling with breakouts and that has oily skin. It wasn't a miracle product for me, I still got breakouts and all that, but it didn't take long for it to clear them up. I found that it did work better on my skin than other products like the St Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub. I also found that it made my skin a lot smoother and I noticed that I had fewer blackheads (ew I know) but it is always a bonus when I can eliminate those pesky little things!

So over all I do really like this product for the reasons that I love the ice cleanser, the fact that my skin is smooth after and reduces blackheads, I don't like how it didn't really stop future breakouts that much at all.
If you want to try this out it is only around $15.00 NZD form a whole 198mls, I think that is quite a bargain. You can get it from farmers, the warehouse and selected supermarkets.

Thanks to everyone that took their time to read this, and let me know if you have used this and what you thought of it.

Colours of the Rainbow tag!

For my first post I wanted to do something that I have been seeing a lot of recently, and it just happened to be the colours of the rainbow tag, I have seen this tag on various YouTube and Blogger accounts.
Now for some of you, you may be thinking that I have incorrectly spelled the word colours, I haven't.. That's just how we spell it over here, anyway on with the post..

RED:  Marc Jacobs Dot, This is one of my favorite scents at the moment, I got this online at strawberry.net when it was on special for around $50.00 NZD it was such a bargain I just had to get it. The bottle is just so adorable I think I will keep it once the fragrance is all gone and as for the fragrance it is a nice light type of fragrance, very fruity and nice and light to wear during the day.

ORANGE: Rimmel London Wake me up foundation. I was very slow to jump on the bandwagon with this product, It wasn't until I was looking for a cheap-ish  foundation and I stumbled across this great foundation. I love how it makes my skin look glowing, and it gives great coverage on my face which is awesome for skin like mine, the only bad thing about this foundation is that I purchased it in the summer and now my skin is too light, but I am thinking about getting it in a lighter shade.I purchased it for I think $28.00 NZD its not the cheapest but it is a great foundation.

* I have so how misplaced this little guy, in the shortspace of one hour.*

YELLOW: Nivea pure & natural, milk and
honey, as you can probably tell most of these products are well used and that is because I love them, this one has for sure been well used. I love nivea lip products so much they have a huge range of them, but the milk and honey takes the cake. Having chapped lips is probably one of the things I always get anytime of the year, in fact I have very bad chapped lips right now, yes I own a tonne of chap sticks, lip butters and all that jazz I am just pure lazy with using them. I am very sad that I am pretty much at the end of this one, I will defiantly repurchase seeming as these guys are usually around the $5.00 NZD mark.

GREEN: Biore Triple Action Toner, This is from the Biore Completion Clearing range, It helps by cleansing, tightening and clearing pores. Its really good for people with acne prone skin (like me) because it has salicylic acid and is oil free. I love the way my skin feels after using it, its like I can almost feel that there is no icky gunk on my face, especially around my nose where all my blackheads are (yuck I know!) This little bad boy is priced from around $15.00 NZD and last for quite a while, I use it both day and night, and can see a significance difference with my blackheads.

BLUE: OPI in Eurso Euro, I am not the kind of girl that likes dark colours on her nails, but this one isn't too dark for me, I purchased this from one of those makeup clearance things that came to a city near me, so I went along with my Mum to it and was amazed to find all the OPI nail products were $10.00 NZD which is a complete bargain compared to the usual $26.50 NZD, I knew that we were meant to be so I grabbed it, took him home and wore it for about two weeks straight. I did have to touch it up a few times to keep it looking nice on my nails.

INDIGO: So Susan Fairy Lashes, Now I just realized that I have nothing indigo, I mean nothing, So I decided to grab this I know its pretty much purple.. But I don't care, I got this out of a Samplebar (a New Zealand version of PopSugar)  When I pulled this mascara out I thought yay mascara (a girl can never have too many) I then looked at the brush and for some reason I instantly thought cheap, like one of those mascaras that you used to get out for a trashy tween magazine that dried out in a week and would come off during the day. So it got pushed right to the back of all my mascaras and then one day I came across it again and decided to wear it, boy was I happy with the results, They gave me the perfect looking natural lashes for a everyday look, I use this most of the time and know that when it runs out I will be hunting down where I can buy it.

VIOLET: De Lorenzo Rejuven8 The ends, This product was recommended to me while I was getting my hair done at one of my local hair salons, I am the kind  of person  that get sucks into products because I just can't say no.. I payed $25.00 NZD for it and after getting a very bad hair experience from them, I thought this would be just as equally bad. Turns out I am in love with this hair product! It makes my hair feel like I have just left the salon, it is also a heat protector and helps with split ends ( I get them very easily from damaging my hair with colour.) this stuff truly worth every cent and I will defiantly repurchase.

MULTI COLOUR: Naked 2 Urban Decay, This was my first ever big purchase of make up, I have had it for probably two years (i think) and it's still going strong, I remember when I went to buy it I paid around $110.00 NZD for it, and I was so scared that it would be useless but it wasn't The colours are super pigmented and last all day long, I use this every day because I love every single colour that is in this palette. I know I am going to be extremely sad when I come to the end of this palette, but at the moment I believe that it will go on forever because of all the times I have used it and still haven't hit pan.

Thanks to everyone that took their time to read this, I am sorry for the bad images they were taken on my ipod.
